World Day of Homeopathy was celebrated in Moscow on April 10, 2019.
On this day, a scientific-practical conference with international participation called “World Day of Homeopathy - Moscow-2019” took place in the State Archives of the Russian Federation.
The event was organized under the auspices of the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis(LMHI) and traditionally held in all countries on the birthday of the founder of homeopathy, a physician and researcher S. Hahnemann
This year in Russia, the organizers of the scientific-practical conference were staff members of the Department of Homeopathy, IVM RUDN, together with the State Archives of the Russian Federation (GARF) with the support of the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis, the Russian Homeopathic Association, the Russian Homeopathic Society and the National Council on Homeopathy. The event was attended by over 100 people.
The conference “World Day of Homeopathy - Moscow-2019” was dedicated to the memory of Nikolai Evgenievich Gabrilovich - an outstanding homeopathic doctor and the first national vice-president of LMHI for Russia. Scientists, doctors of all specialties, students, postgraduates of specialized universities and homeopathic supporters were invited to participate.
The opening ceremony of the conference was held by LMHI National Vice President for Russia, Professor of the Department of Homeopathy, IVM RUDN, Doctor of Medicine Leonid Vladimirovich Kosmodemyansky. In the beginning, he greeted the guests of the event and congratulated them on the celebration of Hahnemann’s birthday:
“On this spring day, the entire homeopathic community celebrates the birthday of the founder of homeopathy, Samuel Hahnemann, and thus celebrates his professional holiday. The importance of this conference, its timeliness, expediency, and contribution to science and medical practice will be testified by today's reports prepared by leading GARF staff and authoritative experts in the field of medicine and homeopathy. ”
Then Leonid Vladimirovich read a message from Dr. Melita Vujnovich, WHO Representative in the Russian Federation, who wished all participants of the conference fruitful work and presented a welcome video message from Dr. Gustavo Cataldiy, Vice President and Secretary of the LMHI Education Department.
The scientific director of the GARF, the head of the Department of Russian History of the 19th - early 20th centuries, Faculty of History of the Moscow State University, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Sergey Vladimirovich Mironenko addressed the guests with parting words. He was joined by a representative of RUDN university, officially authorized the chairman of the department of the AYUSH ministry in Russia, Professor R. Sarashetti (Dr. R. Sarashetti MD, PhD, FICA, Professor RUDN university, AYUSH Chair Russia) (India) and the head of the GARF department of scientific information and reference Baykova Irina Vladimirovna. Welcoming letters and addresses from representatives of public organizations, medical and educational institutions were read.
The conference program was intense and diversified reflected the current stage of development of homeopathy in Russia and abroad. The reports were presented by experts from different cities of Russia: A. Patudin, A. Karpeev, E.V. Mayorova, E.A. Dektyareva, N.V. Prokopyeva, T.K. Ageeva, I.V. Buryakova. , Zamarenov N.A., Kosmodemyansky L.V., Tiraspolsky I.V., Kholodova I.N., Akayeva TV, Mkhitaryan KN, Tsvetkov N.A., Fedrunova O.F., Dolgova Ye.M., Rudneva O.V., Pischanova L.A., Ashikhmin S.P., Ilyenko L.I., Maryanovsky A.A., Gureev A.N., Kachalova O.V., Selkova V. Yu., Gaynova L.V., Semashina G.A., Bogdanova S.V., Kuzmina I.F., Kubasheva N.Yu., Popova S.N., Zhdanova O.B. and etc.
Of particular interest were the performances of employees of the GARF Melentyeva F.I. and N. Kerimova, based on materials from archival funds on the history, theory, and practice of homeopathy, stored in the GARF. Partially they were presented by the archive staff at the exhibition exposition specially prepared for this conference. On the stands were diary notes, photographs and other important documents from the personal archival fund of the first vice-president of the Liga Medicorum Homoeopathica Internationalis for Russia, Nikolai Evgenievich Gabrilovich. During the preparation and holding of the conference, it was decided to develop further cooperation with the GARF on the study and preservation of archival funds on homeopathy.
All participants of the conference noted the high level of preparation of reports and the excellent organization of the event, which was held in a friendly atmosphere of a truly creative union of professionals.
